Major Supernatural Factions and Leaders
The world is divided into three primary factions: Devils, Angels, and Fallen Angels, who maintain a delicate political peace. The Devil faction is represented by the Four Satans, including Sirzechs Lucifer and Serafall Leviathan, who oversee social structures and Rating Games. Meanwhile, the Governor General Azazel leads the Fallen Angels of Grigori, frequently offering guidance and technical knowledge to Issei's group.
The Heaven faction operates under the archangel Michael and Seraphs like Gabriel, maintaining divine order across the realm. These leaders constantly balance factional interests to prevent catastrophic warfare while managing emerging external threats. Their political maneuvers create the backdrop for many high-stakes conflicts throughout the narrative.
Rival Coalitions and Legendary Entities
Beyond the primary three factions, the series introduces dangerous rogue groups like the Chaos Brigade and the Hero Faction. Led by figures such as Vali Lucifer, these antagonists challenge the established world order using ancient artifacts and Sacred Gears. Dragons also play a massive role, with heavenly beings like Ddraig and Albion shaping the destiny of their human hosts.
Understanding these diverse character dynamics provides valuable insight into the overall lore of the franchise. Whether following individual character arcs or massive supernatural wars, every group contributes to the rich narrative tapestry.
